KAIDAN access and agreement

This page explains exactly who can enable KAIDAN, what the checkbox means, what is recorded, and what happens next.

KAIDAN and Briard-AI are products owned and operated by Unfettered Minds LLC. The KAIDAN Security Add-on Agreement supplements the organization's governing agreement with Unfettered Minds LLC for Briard-AI.

Before you open KAIDAN

You need all of the following:

• a signed-in Briard-AI workspace;
• access during the fixed KAIDAN free launch-year window;
• multi-factor authentication if your role requires it;
• the owner or administrator role to accept; and
• authority from your organization to accept product terms and approve the stated metadata access.

A regular member may read the page but cannot bind the organization.

Open the access page

1. Sign in at briard-ai.app.
2. Open briard-ai.app/Kaidan directly or select KAIDAN in the left sidebar.
3. Confirm the organization name in the application header.
4. Confirm the displayed free launch-year dates.
5. Read the plain-language resource list.
6. Read every section of the agreement.
7. Confirm the displayed agreement version and SHA-256 digest.
8. Check the authorization box only if every statement is true.
9. Select Accept and enable KAIDAN.
10. Wait for KAIDAN access enabled and the acceptance record.

Do not refresh or click twice while the button says Recording acceptance. The server makes the operation idempotent, but waiting avoids confusion.

Resources your organization may authorize

The agreement permits only resources deliberately approved by your organization:

• server-side mapping of the signed-in Briard user to the correct KAIDAN tenant;
• metadata from selected AI systems, LLMs, agents, guardrails, cloud audit services, vector databases, observability systems, and security tools;
• connector and deployment health needed to identify gaps;
• case, evidence, finding, collaboration, export, and custody metadata inside KAIDAN; and
• secret-manager references needed by an authorized deployment operator.

Normal intake does not authorize raw prompts, model responses, uploaded files, credentials, secrets, or regulated content.

The checkbox

The application presents this statement:

I am authorized to bind my organization. I have read and accept the KAIDAN Security Add-on Agreement, including the 365-day retention notice, confirm the approved access scope, and authorize processing of permitted metadata for incident response.

Checking the box and selecting Accept creates an electronic organization record. Do not accept for a different organization, as a test, or merely to preview the next screen.

Free launch-year access

KAIDAN is available to every signed-in Briard-AI workspace without a KAIDAN platform fee during one fixed window:

• Starts: August 13, 2026 at 00:00 UTC
• Ends: August 13, 2027 at 00:00 UTC

This is not a per-customer trial and does not start on each customer's acceptance date. It is not an automatically renewing paid trial. Briard-AI will not create a KAIDAN charge when the window ends. Any future paid access must be offered separately with its price and terms and must be accepted separately.

For organizations that separately elect to continue after the free window, Unfettered Minds LLC commits that the KAIDAN platform fee will not exceed $399 USD per organization per month through August 12, 2028. The actual offer may be lower. The ceiling does not include customer-selected cloud infrastructure, source systems, security products, taxes, custom deployment work, or optional professional services. Those items must be separately disclosed and accepted.

What Briard records

The immutable acceptance record contains:

• agreement version;
• agreement SHA-256 digest;
• organization identifier;
• accepting application user identifier;
• owner or administrator role;
• acceptance method;
• confirmation of authority and access scope;
• a one-way SHA-256 digest of the browser user-agent value;
• request identifier; and
• UTC acceptance timestamp.

The raw user-agent value is not retained. The database table permits the backend to insert and read; it does not provide browser roles direct access and does not offer update or delete operations.

365-day retention notice

KAIDAN's production default retains platform evidence records and immutable evidence-package objects for 365 days. An active legal hold may delay an otherwise eligible disposition. Copies that your organization sends to a customer-controlled external destination follow that destination's separately disclosed retention and deletion controls.

Existing COMPLIANCE-locked objects cannot have their retain-until date shortened. Content-bearing restricted forensic capture remains disabled by default, requires its own approvals and storage policy, and cannot exceed 365 days.

This retention notice is part of the current agreement. A workspace that accepted an earlier agreement must review and accept the revised version before access continues.

If the application displays a different version or digest, stop and review the application copy. A later agreement requires a new acceptance.

Agreement summary

Authority and governing terms

You confirm that you can bind the customer organization. The add-on agreement supplements the customer’s Briard-AI order, Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, and any signed data-processing terms. Existing warranty, disclaimer, confidentiality, indemnity, liability, governing-law, termination, and dispute terms continue to apply.

Service boundary

KAIDAN is an incident-response and forensic-evidence add-on for AI and LLM environments. It supports evidence correlation, investigation, cases, and custody-verifiable export. It is not legal advice, certification, or an inline enforcement control.

Free launch-year terms

No KAIDAN platform fee applies during the fixed launch-year window. The window does not renew automatically and does not authorize a future charge. If the customer separately elects to continue, the KAIDAN platform fee will not exceed $399 USD per organization per month through August 12, 2028. Customer-selected third-party infrastructure, provider fees, taxes, custom deployment work, and optional professional services remain separate.

Customer responsibilities

The customer is responsible for lawful monitoring, required notices, source permissions, credential security, least privilege, third-party terms and fees, retention choices, and response actions. Do not connect a resource your organization does not own or have permission to monitor.

Retention

KAIDAN retains platform evidence records and immutable evidence-package objects for 365 days by default. Active legal holds may delay disposition. Customer-controlled external copies follow their own controls, and restricted forensic capture remains separately governed.

Evidence limitations

KAIDAN distinguishes observed facts, source assertions, detector inferences, and reviewer conclusions. Missing receipts remain unknown. Outputs do not guarantee complete visibility, causation, intent, legal admissibility, compliance, or the absence of an incident.

Security and suspension

Use is limited to authorized defensive purposes. Briard-AI may suspend access to protect customers, the services, or third parties, or to address misuse or legal requirements.

CAUTION

This product guide explains the implemented agreement flow; it is not legal advice. Your organization should route the agreement through its own counsel or contracting process when required.

After acceptance

Acceptance unlocks the KAIDAN add-on page for the organization. It does not prove:

• KAIDAN is deployed in a customer environment;
• an identity bridge is configured;
• provider credentials exist;
• a source is connected or healthy;
• external timestamp or notary authority is configured; or
• an independent reviewer approved the deployment.

If the page shows Complete guided deployment, continue with Setup and deployment. If it shows Open KAIDAN console, the server-side identity bridge is available; KAIDAN still validates the mapped identity and tenant.

If the wrong person accepted

Do not try to edit the database record.

1. Stop setup.
2. Record the acceptance ID, workspace, version, and timestamp shown.
3. Contact legal@briard-ai.app and support@briard-ai.app.
4. Ask the authorized organization representative to confirm the next action.
5. Preserve the original record. Correction or supersession must be additive and auditable.

Counsel review note

The product agreement is designed to bind the access scope to an authenticated organization record and the existing Briard-AI terms. Before using it for a high-risk or specially regulated customer, obtain counsel review of the customer’s order form, privacy terms, incident-monitoring authority, jurisdiction, and any required data-processing addendum.
